
On October 17, 2024, the international event, the Introductory buzz of the coordinators of the international project EduHive - developing civic awareness and values through Apipedagogy started in Kočevje, Slovenia.
The leading partner of the Erasmus+ project EduHive - developing civic awareness and values through Apipedagogical is Gimnazija Celje - Center with the main coordinator of the project Metka Krajnc Sevšek. The other partners are the Italian school I.I.S. Leonardo da Vinci-Ripamonti with coordinator Federica Currò and the Eneja Institute for the Development of Empathy and Creativity, which is the holder of the Apipedagogical programs. At the event, the expert manager of the apipedagogical programs of the Eneja Institute, Nina Ilič from Kočevje, will provide professional support in the transfer of good practice from Slovenia to Italy. The program of the international meeting will also be enriched by the content of the president of the Kočevje Beekeeping Society, Jurij Majerle, and Laura Javoršek, the teacher and mentor of the elective subject of beekeeping from the Primary School Ob Rinži Kočevje, who will present the regional and learning apiary and activities for young people in the context of beekeeping.

The introductory buzz of the coordinators, organized by the Eneja Institute for the Development of Empathy and Creativity, will take place under the patronage of the European Parliament, which expresses its moral support for the event with its patronage. The European Parliament otherwise takes over the patronage only for certain events. The EduHive project - developing civic awareness and values through Apipedagogy and thus its opening event showed a clear European dimension.
In the mentioned project for young people, it is about the transfer and development of good practice, the introduction of innovative pedagogical methods and approaches into the regular pedagogical process. EduHive is a project for developing civic values, developing active citizenship and preventing peer violence.
The goals of the project are to strengthen social democracy, a sense of responsibility and solidarity, higher quality of educational work, active participation of teachers and consequently students in the functioning of society, drawing attention to the problem of radicalization and violent extremism, preventing peer violence and creating an inclusive environment.
Apipedagogy, which encourages learning through play, will enable innovative learning experiences. Students will strengthen critical thinking, creativity and the development of key skills, while at the same time being an active member in ensuring a sustainable approach to education. The project actively builds European identity and civic awareness. The results of the event will benefit teachers and students.
